Roadster Shop, an iconic brand deeply engrained in car culture, is seeking a Controller to join our team in Mundelein, IL. This is a hands-on leadership role for a finance professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and wants to play a meaningful role in a private equity–backed organization during an exciting phase of growth.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Controller will help strengthen financial infrastructure, enhance reporting rigor, and partner closely with executive leadership as the business continues to scale.

• Lead the month-end close and prepare business unit financial reporting
• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, treasury, and liquidity management
• Supervise Accounts Payable and billing functions while maintaining strong vendor and customer relationships
• Lead and develop a team of four across AP and AR
• Manage sales and use tax compliance and filings
• Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reporting, analyzing trends and variances
• Partner cross-functionally on budgeting, forecasting, and cash management initiatives
• Support annual audits and ongoing compliance
• Contribute to FP&A, ROI analysis, cost accounting, and system improvement initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting
• Proven experience owning the month-end close and general ledger
• Hands-on leadership experience across AP/AR teams
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
• A self-starter mindset with strong ownership and accountability
