Fixed Income Operations Associate
Our client is looking to add a Fixed Income Operations professional to a growing team supporting an active institutional trading business.
This position offers broad exposure to the post-trade environment and significant interaction with trading, counter parties, and other internal teams. It is well suited for someone who enjoys investigating issues, working in a fast-moving environment, and taking ownership of problems through resolution.
What You'll Do
• Support daily processing and settlement of fixed income transactions
• Investigate trade discrepancies, settlement issues, and other operational exceptions
• Perform cash, position, and trade reconciliations
• Coordinate with trading teams and external counter parties to resolve breaks
• Support financing and other post-trade activities
• Monitor transactions through settlement and proactively address potential issues
• Assist with operational projects and technology enhancements
• Participate in testing associated with new systems and workflow changes
• Help identify opportunities to improve controls and streamline existing processes
• Build relationships across trading, operations, technology, and other internal functions
What We're Looking For
• 3+ years of financial services or markets operations experience
• Exposure to fixed income products or institutional trading environments
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle and post-trade processing
• Experience investigating trade, cash, position, or settlement discrepancies
• Familiarity with industry trading and settlement systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and willing to take ownership. The successful candidate will be comfortable digging into operational issues and working across teams to get them resolved.
