The Opportunity

Broker Hunter is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an independent financial services firm in Port Jefferson, Long Island seeking ambitious professionals who want to build a long-term career as a Financial Advisor.

This is an in-office opportunity designed for someone who wants to learn the financial services business, develop client relationships, and ultimately build a business of their own.

You do not need an existing book of business, millions of dollars in AUM, or 10 years of financial services experience.

What you do need is ambition, discipline, strong relationship-building skills, and the desire to learn how to build a business.

Build Relationships First

The opportunity goes beyond simply finding assets to manage.

Advisors learn how to identify a variety of financial needs within their network and connect clients with appropriate solutions and resources, including:

• Investment management
• Retirement planning
• Estate planning
• Tax strategies
• Life and other insurance
• Commercial financing
• Private equity and alternative investments
• Business planning

The goal is to build long-term client relationships and develop a business that can grow beyond a traditional AUM-only practice.

Who We're Looking For

This is a trainee-level opportunity, so previous financial services experience is helpful but not required.

Candidates may come from backgrounds such as sales, banking, insurance, real estate, business development, entrepreneurship, hospitality, professional services, or other relationship-driven careers.
