Overview

Microbiology Laboratory Technician position with an established medical device company in Mundelein, IL. This role involves performing microbiological testing and analysis in support of medical device production.

$24.00/hr - $26.00/hr

Microbiology Laboratory Technician

2nd shift (3pm–12am CT)

6-month contract to hire

ASAP

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, or related.
• 1+ years of experience in laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, GMP, and GLC.
• Background in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
• Quality mindset.
• Must be an adaptable team player who can also work well independently.

• Experience with bio-burden testing.
• Experience with USP , , testing

• Conduct routine microbiological testing including environmental monitoring, bioburden, and endotoxin testing, specifically USP , , testing.
• Prepare and maintain culture media, reagents, and laboratory equipment.
• Document and analyze test results in accordance with GMP and GLP standards.
• Support investigations and troubleshooting of microbiological issues.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and quality control.
• Participate in internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

$22/hr to $26/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
