Job DescriptionThis position will support all production operations to optimize output and minimize waste while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards. Assist in the manufacture of quality products (per customer standards) as determined by the production schedule and or supervisor. To gain understanding of the technical knowledge required in the manufacturing process, and will continuously improve skills and productivity through teamwork. Performing housekeeping chores as needed, to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.

12 hour schedule on days (6:00AM-6:00PM) or nights (6:00PM-6:00AM). Must be available to work weekends and Holidays.
Principal Accountabilities- Be proactive with product quality, process and machine issues.
- Assist in maintaining machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform all functions including operation of slitter, product inspection, area clean up, quality testing requirements, etc.
- Communicate within the group to insure co-workers are kept up to date with what occurred during the shift. Must be able to anticipate things that will come up after shift change and communicate all shift activities verbally and through documenting in shift logs.
- Set up and operate line to meet product requirements.
- Record machine and process conditions.
- Perform and document quality checks.
- Operate machine to achieve and exceed standard scrap and efficiencies.
- Technical and mechanical knowledge of slitting machines
- Film handling fundamentals
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED, Associates Degree and/or industrial certification preferred
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Mechanic aptitude
- Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills are essential
- Demonstrates organizational skills
- Read dimensional graphic templates in both metric/standard and apply to finished product
- Basic computer skills
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs
- Standing up to 12 hours per day on a rotating day or evening shift, up to 5 days per week
