Description

The Food service Worker will prepare and cook large batches of food that will be served to employees.

• Clean, cut, prepare, and cook meat, fish, or poultry to a safe temperature.
• Prepare and cook various items according to menus, or number of portions to be served.
• Bakes breads, rolls, and pastries.
• Distributes and serves food to employees.
• Washes cooking equipment, such as pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other pieces.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
• Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
• 1+ years of related café/kitchen experience.

The work environment is a cafe setting and occasionally a freezer to retrieve supplies. This position requires the team member to:

• Frequently required to stand for an extended period of time.
• Use hands to finger, handle, feel, and talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when near the production area.
