Beauty Consultant

Merle Norman is seeking a passionate, proactive beauty enthusiast to become the next member of our dynamic team in Oconomowoc. Must enjoy customer service and empowering people through the transformative power of great skin care and makeup! The Beauty Consultant’s primary responsibilities are customer service and sales, achieved through exceptional communication skills and service abilities. Previous customer service and/or retail experience is preferred.

• Provide an excellent shopping experience for customers. Greet each customer with “Hi! How are you today? How can I help you?” OR “Is there something in particular I can help you find today?”
• Determine customer needs by REALLY listening to their concerns, (and often reading between the lines) and assist in finding appropriate Merle Norman/Hale & Hush products.
• Set personal sales goals for yourself and share those goals with the Studio Manager so they can be developed AND recognized when achieved.
• Provide attentive, luxury service to all customers.
• Attract new Merle Norman customers and retain them through exceptional service and follow‑up.
• Express a passion for skin care and cosmetics.
• Share with the customers any new seasonal skin care/cosmetics, and/or any specials we are currently offering.

• Customer service, retail experience, and/or cosmetic fragrance experience preferred but not required.
• Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Be reliable, dependable and punctual.
• Ability to assist with studio cleaning, restocking, and moving boxes (up to 20lbs) at Studio as part of the team.
• Ability to commit to a work schedule and stick with it. On occasion, there may be the need to adjust the schedule slightly to allow for special events.

• Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 4‑6pm
• Saturday 10am‑4pm
