Senior Mobile Engineer | NYC | $165k to $220k + equity
The role
Imagine building an app where the user isn’t scrolling on a sofa; they’re a technician in a service truck or an operator on a warehouse floor, with an AI agent in their pocket helping them get the job done.
That’s what this team does. They’re a Series B AI startup in New York building autonomous agents for big enterprise customers, and those agents are already live and in use every day.
Now they want a Senior Mobile Engineer to own the apps that put all of that in people’s hands.
You’d be the person shaping how mobile gets built here. Taking features from Figma to the App Store, owning releases end to end, making the apps fast and reliable in the real world, and setting the bar for how the team reviews and ships code. You’ll also get in the room with customers, see how they actually work and turn that into product.
What we need from you
You’ll be building in React Native day to day, so you’ll need solid hands-on experience with it, including shipping RN apps to the stores and dealing with the bits that need native code. It doesn’t need to have been your whole career, and native iOS or Android on top is a big plus.
Beyond that, you’ve got 5+ years shipping production mobile apps, and you’ve been the one setting the architecture and standards on a codebase that other engineers then built on. You can talk through the design patterns you’ve used and why you picked them, you’ve owned features end to end, and you’ve helped raise the bar when a more junior engineer’s work wasn’t there yet.
You’ve built things for non-technical users and know how to figure out what they actually need. And you’re genuinely excited about building with AI.
