Senior Guidewire Developer; ClaimCenter

Ingenium Talent is working with a regional insurance client in their search for an experienced Senior Guidewire Developer to join their team and play a key role in designing, developing, configuring, and supporting Guidewire Claim Center solutions. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of direct Guidewire Claim Center development experience, strong hands-on configuration expertise, and a proven track record working with Guidewire Cloud.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level Guidewire professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, building scalable insurance technology solutions, and working with modern Guidewire Cloud implementations.

This position is a contract to hire role and requires being onsite at our client's Louisville, KY headquarters at least three days/week. All qualified candidates must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Guidewire professional who can operate independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders. You should have deep Policy Center knowledge, strong configuration skills, and practical experience delivering solutions in a Guidewire Cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and implement solutions within Guidewire Claim Center.
• Perform hands-on Claim Center configuration, including product model, business rules, workflows, screens, validation, and integrations.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Guidewire solutions.
• Develop and maintain Guidewire applications using Gosu and Java-based technologies.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, and deployment activities.
• Support integrations and custom development using technologies such as Java, Spring, and jQuery.
• Work within Guidewire Cloud, contributing to cloud-based development, configuration, upgrades, and deployments.
• Stay current with Guidewire platform capabilities, development best practices, and cloud releases.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of direct, hands-on Guidewire Claim Center development experience.
• Guidewire Associate Certification is required.
• Strong hands-on Guidewire Claim Center configuration experience.
• Solid experience with Gosu and Guidewire development methodologies.
• Professional experience with Java.
• Experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience with jQuery and web-based application development.
• Demonstrated experience working with Guidewire Cloud.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and deployment practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).
• Experience with the Guidewire Palisades release.
• Experience supporting Guidewire Cloud migrations, upgrades, or implementations.
• Experience with Policy Center integrations and external system interfaces.
• Property & Casualty insurance industry experience.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
