Highway Engineer Department Manager – SEH

- Oversee management of all phases of highway projects including planning, design, and construction.
- Develop creative solutions to complex challenges, working closely with engineers, designers, and other professionals.
- Manage relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion, building and strengthening new client relationships.
- Provide valuable mentorship to team of engineers and designers.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Indiana.
- Proven experience leading highway and transportation projects and staff.
- Demonstrated experience working on INDOT projects.
- At least 20 years of experience specializing in highway and transportation planning, design, and construction.
- At least 10 years of project‑management experience overseeing highway and transportation projects from planning through construction.
- Knowledge of Indiana regional highway/transportation issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base.
- Previous experience in proposal and client management; ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals.
- Must reside in Indiana or surrounding areas.
Base compensation is expected to range from $155,000 to $175,000 based on skill set and experience. Full benefits package available at SEH Hiring Journey.
