Highway Engineer Department Manager – SEH

• Lead an exceptional team dedicated to delivering work for the Indiana Department of Transportation.
• Oversee management of all phases of highway projects including planning, design, and construction.
• Develop creative solutions to complex challenges, working closely with engineers, designers, and other professionals.
• Manage relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion, building and strengthening new client relationships.
• Provide valuable mentorship to team of engineers and designers.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Indiana.
• Proven experience leading highway and transportation projects and staff.
• Demonstrated experience working on INDOT projects.

• At least 20 years of experience specializing in highway and transportation planning, design, and construction.
• At least 10 years of project‑management experience overseeing highway and transportation projects from planning through construction.
• Knowledge of Indiana regional highway/transportation issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base.
• Previous experience in proposal and client management; ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals.
• Must reside in Indiana or surrounding areas.

Base compensation is expected to range from $155,000 to $175,000 based on skill set and experience. Full benefits package available at SEH Hiring Journey.
