Universal Banker II – Munster

Be part of our Munster Banking Center as a Universal Banker II, delivering efficient, friendly and compliant service to customers and employees alike.

Job Summary

Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to ensure an excellent customer experience for all customers and employees. Acknowledge customers' needs with suggestions and referrals of appropriate Bank products and services. Perform all tasks accurately and efficiently while remaining in compliance with the established Bank policies and procedures. The role requires outgoing, sales‑oriented, flexible, adaptable and results‑driven individuals who can work independently and with a team, make sound decisions and apply critical thinking skills.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Performs all Universal Banker I duties at a proficient level, including but not limited to:
    • Processes teller line transactions (deposits, loan payments, cash and endorsements, checks, official checks, overrides and approvals).
    • Counts and balances the cash drawer daily, taking proactive steps to identify and resolve discrepancies.
    • Follows BSA/AML/OFAC policies and/or procedures to report suspicious activity.
    • Maintains integrity and confidentiality of all Bank business and information.
  • Opens new accounts for customers accurately and efficiently.
  • Handles more complex customer inquiries and requests.
  • Demonstrates strong sales skills, routinely refers additional products when appropriate and documents referrals in Salesforce.
  • Moves seamlessly through the banking center, acting in a variety of roles as necessary.
  • Adapts quickly to meet all needs.
  • Participates in Bank and Team activities.
  • May seek additional responsibilities such as internal committee involvement or corporate initiatives.
  • May serve as backup to the manager in their absence.
  • May mentor others as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of retail banking experience required.
  • Six months of new account experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Must have a smartphone (iOS or Android) that supports the Bank’s IT security guidelines.
