Position Purpose and Summary
Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/Charge Nurse, performs general clerical duties and patient centered activities in a hospital nursing unit. She/he demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population served on a designated nursing unit.
Education and Experience- High School graduate or equivalent.
- BLS Required.
- Supplementary commercial school/college courses in typing, computer technology, medical terminology are desirable.
- 6 months experience as Ward Clerk, Medical Assistant or Physician Receptionist preferred.
- Annual validation of skills and safety, infection procedures.
