Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team at SRM Concrete.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations and assists with month-end close procedures
• Assist with preparation for audits and quarterly reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical abilities to resolve complex issues and provide resolution to senior management.
• Ability to analyze current business work flows and productivity
• Strong communicator with established skills in accuracy, organization and working in a high-volume dynamic environment.
• Team player looking to help on projects wherever needed and assist in training accounting staff
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
• Full cycle accounting experience
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple job duties
• Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
• 2+ years of experience with public accounting or private experience
• Experience working with Microsoft dynamics and proficient Microsoft excel skills/
• Quickbooks/Concur/ERP systems

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
