This isn't a traditional BD role, it's your chance to take ownership, drive expansion, and make a lasting impact on a world-renowned brand known for innovation and excellence.

  • Partner with senior leaders across Barrett and the wider Group to ensure business activities align with overall strategic goals and growth initiatives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a best-in-class business capture process, driving collaboration, communication, and training across departments.
  • Oversee capture and proposal efforts, coordinating cross-functional teams to craft winning strategies and compelling solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors while helping close strategic business opportunities.
  • Monitor markets, competitors, and customer trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Champion continuous improvement by refining operational policies, establishing performance metrics, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
About You

You're a strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and building strong partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing strategy in the boardroom as you are rolling up your sleeves to lead capture efforts and close key deals. You bring a mix of business acumen, operational excellence, and relationship-building skills, and you're ready to make a lasting impact on a global brand known for precision, performance, and innovation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Engineering or a related field required. Equivalent professional experience or combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years Military/Law Enforcement BD/Sales experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the BD/Sales/Capture Management process of manufactured products in the firearms/defense space required.
  • Productive firearms experience with a strong background in managing contracts, negotiating and selling at senior levels.
  • Meet all federal and state legal qualifications to possess and work with firearms under the Gun Control Act and related legislation.
  • Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines.
