Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) invites applicants for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position (#129230) in anthropology at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date is August 1, 2026.

• Maintain an active research agenda in the southeastern United States and develop and direct a locally based summer archaeological field program.
• Teach the general‑education World Prehistory course and other courses in the area of expertise, including new or existing courses.
• Complement existing faculty expertise by bringing additional strengths, e.g., GIS, materials analysis (lithics, pottery), zoo archaeology, cultural resource management, or other specialized approaches.

• A terminal degree in anthropology is required by the appointment date.
