Job Summary /Basic FunctionThis is a ten-month position (August 1–May 31). Serve as a Master Teacher responsible for teaching young children enrolled at the MTSU Child Development Center, which serves as a teaching and learning laboratory for MTSU students. Provide modeling, mentoring, and guidance to MTSU students participating in relevant academic, clinical, field-based, and practicum experiences at the Center. Perform related duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
RequiredEducation
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, special education, or closely related field required.
Required Related ExperienceThree (3) years of classroom experience working with young children (birth through third grade) in a public or private school, Head Start program, licensed child care setting, or comparable early childhood education setting.
Required License/Registration/CertificationTennessee Early Childhood Teaching License Required. (Prek-3rd)
Desirable Related ExperienceMaster’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field.
