Radiology - CT Technologist

responsible for scanning various parts of the body as ordered by a physician.

will work with other technologists and under the direct supervision of the clinical director, clinical supervisor and the radiologists.

the ct technologist position will perform a variety of technical procedures in computerized tomography and process scans while providing for the physical, medical, emotional and safety needs of patients.

• this is a full-time position. The hours are monday-friday 8am-5pm.
• strong ct experience
• 2 years experience as a ct technologist preferred
• efficient in post processing and 3d reconstruction
• knowledge in the proper use of pacs and ris systems in accordance with set protocols and manufacturer recommendations
• thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy
• radiology license, arrt (ct) certification required
• tn state license required
• cpr certification required.

• ability to work with a team approach toward providing quality of patient care
• ability to respond to the needs of the department and the patient in a busy environment
• ability to follow instructions given by physicians and supervisors

• must be able to lift 20 pounds and push and pull several hundred pounds
• environment can be very busy and stressful
• contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people
• work may require hand dexterity for radiology equipment, stooping and bending
• must have mobility to room patients, help patients onto table, complete errands
• this position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.
