Job Description

Lead the Security Operations function to ensure continuous monitoring, detection and rapid response to cyber threats, safeguarding the organization’s technology environment and critical assets.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage, lead and develop a professional security operations staff, defining vision, operating mode, tooling strategy and structure
  • Establish and scale the Security Operations function, defining vision, operating model, tooling strategy and team structure
  • Lead implementation and day-to-day operation of core security monitoring tools such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and threat intelligence platforms
  • Manage the Security Operations Center (SOC), overseeing incident detection, triage, investigation, and escalation
  • Develop and maintain operational playbooks and automation to accelerate threat detection and response
  • Drive continuous improvement through threat hunting, advanced analytics and incident trend analysis
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
    • Five (5) years of systems development experience, including programming and technical project leadership. Experience in both mainframe and client/server environments.
    • Proven expertise managing Security Operations Center (SOC) operations and security monitoring platforms
    • Strong knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies relevant to freight and logistics sectors
    • Experience with cloud security monitoring, endpoint detection and response (EDR), network security and threat intelligence integration
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing demands.
