Job Description

This position reports to General Counsel Americas and involves managing large‑scale and routine legal projects on key substantive legal issues facing the organization.

What You Will Do
  • Manage large‑scale as well as routine legal projects on key substantive legal issues facing the organization.
  • Serve as the primary lawyer to review, draft, and negotiate customer and supply‑side commercial agreements, such as supply agreements, master services agreements, EPC and vendor agreements, and other contracts.
  • Analyze, revise, and negotiate contractual provisions to facilitate the needs of the business and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and solve legal and contractual risks with a focus on organizational profitability.
  • Advise internal sales, purchasing, trade, financial, and operations personnel on daily questions and long‑term projects.
  • Implement scalable contracting processes.
  • Work with and supervise the work of junior legal professionals.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
What You Need
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a law firm, in‑house legal department, or equivalent setting.
  • JD from an ABA‑accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of a state bar allowing independent legal work.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and drafting skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and desire to work collectively to achieve team and company goals.
  • Ability to work and think independently, possessing sound, creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Responsive, client‑service focused, and professional.
  • Willing to accept additional responsibilities, challenging tasks, and/or projects.
  • Ability to flexibly react to multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • High achieving, win‑focused, inquisitive nature.
  • Understanding of how to practice law in a commercial setting and the rigors of a manufacturing environment.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and promote continuous improvement in the legal department.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of ownership and proactivity.
  • Ability to work positively in an international work environment.
Nice to Have
  • Tennessee bar admission is highly valued; bar admission(s) in South Carolina and/or Kentucky are also useful.
  • Foreign language fluency, especially in East Asian languages.
  • Specialized legal ability to lead in a subject matter without sacrificing flexibility to be a generalist.
  • Experience leading the implementation of legal technology.
