OverviewThe Program Manager will be responsible for the operation of the community-based program, including developing, implementing, and managing the clinical and operational components. The Program Manager has responsibility and authority for all actions, decisions, and performances within the program’s scope, shares with the Executive Director the responsibility to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed services to all youth and families, and oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of all program personnel.
In the Executive Director’s absence, the Program Manager handles the efficient management of the agency’s financial and physical resources, remains accessible by telephone to assist in emergencies, and maintains a manageable caseload initially until a full-time Program Manager is established.

Responsibilities- Work with the Executive Director to develop effective treatment interventions for children and families involved with the child welfare and/or juvenile justice systems.
- Evaluate treatment programs and make recommendations to the Executive Director.
- Develop and administer standards and procedures for all treatment staff.
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, promotion, and discipline of qualified treatment staff.
- Oversee training, promotion, discipline, and ongoing supervision of treatment staff.
- Keep the Executive Director and client agencies informed of the agency’s programs and policies.
- Maintain a caseload and provide quality service to clients.
- Represent and interpret the agency’s programs and policies to public custodial agencies, courts, and the community.
- Maintain good working relationships with local, state, and national agencies, including schools, courts, welfare departments, probation departments, and other social service agencies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least two years of full-time direct casework experience with children and families, including protection and care of children.
- Strong administrative and clinical skills, capable of working effectively with children, adults, staff, parents, referral sources, and the community.
- Capable of selecting qualified personnel, delegating responsibility, providing support and recognition, and commanding respect and confidence.
- Understanding of the special needs of children and families involved with the child welfare and/or juvenile justice system.
- Innovative and flexible under interruptions, demands, and changing circumstances.
- Positive, productive, and cooperative with staff, families, referral sources, and the community.
