A fast‑growing renewable natural gas producer in the country is seeking an Operations Manager for its plant in Murfreesboro, TN. The Operations Technician plays a pivotal role in the commissioning and ongoing operations of the RNG plant. This position encompasses a blend of operational and maintenance responsibilities, ensuring that all equipment functions efficiently. Candidates will engage in preventative maintenance, handle EPA documentation, and perform troubleshooting tasks.

The ideal individual will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving processes. This role requires a balance of hands‑on technical skills and computer‑based documentation. Successful candidates will be proactive in maintaining the plant’s operational standards and safety protocols.

Operations Technician Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor the plant's screw compressors and processing equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
  • Manage EPA reporting and documentation requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues or malfunctions with the plant's systems
  • Maintain the plant's safety protocols and procedures
  • Assist with startup and shutdown of plant operations
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the regional manager regarding any issues
  • Adapt to changes in plant processes and operations
  • Ensure proper handling of incoming gas before pipeline delivery
Operations Technician Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of industrial plant operations or machinery maintenance experience
  • Background in food plants, manufacturing, power generation, or gas compression is preferred
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment
  • General operations or maintenance background in relevant industries
  • Ability to perform hands‑on mechanical work
  • Experience with computer‑based documentation and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills
