Purpose Statement

Responsible for safely running different types of table machines and equipment that sheets and processes extruded dough into products that meet customer specifications, while ensuring food defense and quality.

  • Sets up and changes over all equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Conducts pre‑op inspections as required to ensure food safety and equipment readiness.
  • Operates a variety of equipment, some that include extruders, sheeters, mulit‑rollers, moulding systems, conveyors. This includes adjusting speed, gap, weight and stroke as needed.
  • Dumps dough in hopper
  • Ensures the extruder is feeding the line with the correct amount of dough
  • Controls piece weight and size, utilizes MLO
  • Fills flour and toppings hoppers
  • Keeps work area clean and in 6S order to be in compliance with GMP and BRC food safety standards.
  • Takes care of equipment, monitoring it and reporting problems to leadership if they occur.
  • Maintains all required documentation
  • Maintains care of all equipment in assigned area – taking corrective action and getting help as needed.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
  • Communicates and works with all associates.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • One year experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Special certification may be required for use of forklift and chemicals
  • Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate computer programs as needed
  • Medium to high degree of judgment required
  • Basic math skills necessary
