Aluminum Welder

Job Description

The Aluminum Welder performs welding and fabrication work in a fabrication shop as an individual contributor within a cross-functional production team. This role produces aluminum and some steel assemblies through standardized production welds, custom fabrication projects, and repair and rework, with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Perform aluminum welding and welding on some steel assemblies.
• Prepare joints and materials for welding.
• Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Complete standardized production welds and custom fabrication projects.
• Perform repair and rework as needed.
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Follow workplace and welding safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in aluminum welding.
• Vocational training in welding or metal fabrication.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Knowledge of aluminum fabrication and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with welding inspection and safety practices.
• Proficiency with measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
