Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position caring for adult and geriatric patients on a 36-bed unit, requiring a TN or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Position located within a hospital setting on the Medical Surgical 7E unit
- Unit serves adult and geriatric patients, ages 18 and above
- 36-bed capacity with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Work schedule is 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Staffing includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns with RNs responsible for each patient team
- An RN assumes full responsibility for all assigned patients and patient team
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required for employment
- Local candidates are accepted but are subject to a reduced pay rate in accordance with the facility's radius rule, which varies by state
- Only one assignment may be held at an Ascension facility system-wide at a time
- Active TN or compact state RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Successful completion of a rhythm test
- Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- US Social Security Number and US address required
