Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse with over 2 years of experience in an inpatient setting. This role requires working with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and seniors, with varying acuity levels—from high acuity to lower acuity, including patients down to age 8. The Psychiatric Nurse will be expected to provide comprehensive care across adult IDD units and physical rehab units, floating to all units as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
- Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and handle crises effectively.
- Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience in an inpatient environment.
- BLS certification required.
- Handle with Care certification is preferred.
- Ability to float to various units as required.
