American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a 12-week assignment requiring 1+ year of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department-Trauma unit
• Care for patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies
• 12-hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15
• 12-week assignment length
• Perform triage, rapid assessments, and emergency interventions including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care
• Operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators
• Document patient care in the electronic health record

• Active TN or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• PALS certification may be required
• TNCC certification may be preferred or required
• Emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing experience preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, and laboratory staff
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control and medication safety practices per hospital policy
• Participate in emergency preparedness and quality-improvement initiatives
• Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate that varies by state
• Candidates should begin discussing assignment extensions with their manager 45 days before the end date
• Only one submission permitted system-wide per Ascension facility
