As a Landscaping Crew Member
, you will provide a variety of landscape activities on behalf of Medxcel throughout the assigned working location of St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital – Murfreesboro, TN
. Responsibilities will include planting, weeding, digging, spreading topsoil and other materials, general lawn maintenance, and seasonal lawn preparation. You may also operate lawn mowers and related equipment and will assist Facilities Maintenance staff on projects as assigned.
- Perform planting and related activities.
- Perform routine lawn maintenance including grass cutting, lawn edging, weed pulling, and other routine lawn-maintenance activities.
- Use lawn mower and related equipment.
- Provide seasonal lawn care, such as spring and fall clean‑up.
- Move materials and equipment and perform related duties to assist in landscaping and hardscaping.
- Digs holes and trenches and excavates for landscaping and hardscaping using picks and shovels or related equipment.
- Hauls or spreads topsoil, gravel, sand, mulch, or related materials using wheelbarrows and rakes.
- Hand‑finishes grade, and applies seed, straw, or sod.
- Maintain assigned equipment and notify Landscaping Supervisor of needed repairs.
- Respond politely to customer inquiries and project a professional image.
- Report to work at the required time and perform duties as assigned by the Landscaping Supervisor.
- Load equipment and materials on and off trucks and trailers.
- Perform snow removal activities as assigned, such as shoveling, salting, etc.
- Assist Facilities Maintenance staff on projects as assigned.
- Apply chemicals under the direction of a licensed chemical applicator.
- Some High School or Equivalent required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- State Driver’s License and insurable with company’s agent preferred.
- Experience in the landscaping field is preferred.
- Candidate must be able to read and write in English required.
