Landscaper​/Greenskeeper - Golf

This position is considered a Safety-Sensitive position. Applicants who pass the interview process will be subject to drug and alcohol testing.

The purpose of this position is related to the care and maintenance of the golf courses in the areas of greens, roughs, tees, bunkers, fairways, water hazards, irrigation system, and general grounds of the golf courses. The employee will perform other related work as required, some of which will be mechanical. Maintain the upkeep of the course, grounds, buildings, and related facilities and equipment of the Golf Department.

• Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business.
• Safely operates various hand tools, including but not limited to weed eater, backpack sprayer, backpack blower, and water hose.
• Cuts grass with power equipment and hand tools.
• Loads and unloads dirt, gravel, sand, and debris.
• Performs heavy manual labor for extended periods under all weather conditions, frequently lifting objects weighing one hundred (100) pounds.
• Performs manual labor for extended periods of time under some unfavorable weather conditions.
• Cleans, maintains, and services equipment, and makes minor equipment repairs.
• Picks up trash on the golf courses, in the maintenance building, and on the clubhouse grounds.
• Works independently with valuable equipment and supplies, including hand tools, powered and unpowered.
• Communicates effectively with other employees in the maintenance department and pro shop area.
• Must be able to perform job duties as described on the Essential Functions Addendum.

• Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have one (1) year of experience in maintenance, landscaping, construction, or closely related.

• Two years of golf course or related field work experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of about the care and proper use of tools and equipment used in the development and maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, hazards, and general grounds of a golf course.
• Basic knowledge of and/or the ability to learn about the rules of golf.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
