The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill Buckle’s mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g. cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).

• Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service throughout the store.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise, recommend and select items based on guest needs, and anticipate and fulfill guest needs by suggesting additional items.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and consistently share that knowledge and education with teammates.
• Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, payment policies, exchanges, and security practices.
• Achieve personal sales‑per‑hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
• Checkout and bag purchases, prepare merchandise for alterations, and manage special orders.
• Assist in visual merchandise management: present merchandise to maximize sales, keep displays fresh, and collaborate on product improvements.
• Perform day‑to‑day operations: open/close registers, balance cash drawers, monitor loss prevention, use POS, and maintain a clean, organized store.
• Operate flexibly on a schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Carry out additional duties or special projects as assigned.

• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30 lbs throughout the store and backroom.

The job requires standing, walking, using hands and arms, and occasionally sitting. The physical ability to lift and maneuver 30 lbs throughout the store and backroom is required. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.

The work environment is a retail store with a moderate noise level.
