Lowboy Driver

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc., the leading asphalt manufacturer and road builder in the southeast , has immediate opening for a Lowboy Driver to join our asphalt operations in Middle Tennessee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment and oversized loads using a lowboy trailer. This role requires a professional driver with excellent driving skills, a strong safety record, and the ability to handle specialized endorsements.

• Operate lowboy trailers to transport heavy and oversized equipment to various job sites
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with DOT regulations.
• Perform some interstate travel
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure timely deliveries
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and damage

• Valid Class A CDL license
• Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
• Excellent driving record with no recent violations
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
