Lab Assistant PTA Program

The lab assistant will provide the lab support to the staff and faculty of the PTA program

• Preparing in advance for the lab period.
• Assist instructor in setting up lab according to information provided by course instructor.
• Promote safety in the lab. Be alert to potential unsafe behaviors, practices, set-ups, and situations; reporting these to instructor.
• Maintain the lab, including doing laundry, cleaning areas around equipment used during the lab, return all equipment to proper place at the end of the lab period.
• Assist with other requests from instructor.

• Degree Seeking
• At least an overall 2.0 GPA
• Enrolled at least part-time (6+ hours)
• Currently Enrolled in the PTA program.
• May need to qualify for federal work study financial aid assistance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the PTA program.

Physical Demands Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
