Maintains acceptable store conditions according to Company standards. Engages with customers, bags and transports groceries, locates products and conducts price verifications. Performs various customer service duties while maintaining a safe and sanitary shopping environment.

• Ensures groceries are bagged properly by grouping like items, limiting bag weight, preventing cross-contamination, and ensuring customer receipt of all purchased items.
• Collects shopping carts and stores them in the cart corral. Keeps parking lot free of trash and debris; communicates with management on incidents or concerns on store premises.
• Maintains stocking and presentation of front-end racks, drink coolers, and cleaning supply stations.
• Promotes product sales through active customer engagement.
• Handles objects carefully to avoid damage to products or property.
• Follows Company guidelines for cleaning breakrooms/restrooms and facing products to maintain proper store conditions.
• Greets customers, answers questions, and bags/transports groceries into customers’ vehicles with a friendly, service-oriented attitude.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures and policies.

• Courteous conduct with customers at all times.
• Effective written and verbal communication with customers and partners.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to potential hazards with the ability to remedy or place warning signs promptly.
• Report hazards to a supervisor as needed.

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business (per BGC Business Driver Policy).

• Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, or focus required.
• Standing or walking for extended periods.
• Speaking and hearing capabilities required.
• Ability to reach, handle, and use hands; push, pull, and lift objects up to 40 lbs regularly; may lift up to 75 lbs occasionally; and may bend, kneel, or squat.
• Attendance at work is required.
