Electrical​/Controls Engineer

• Ensure a safe work environment for the plant in regard to all electrical and electronic PLC issues.
• Maintain and upgrade electrical aspects of machinery to perform as intended and comply with code.
• Assist maintenance employees with troubleshooting, repairing and installing electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide documentation and technical support to management to accomplish company‑wide goals.
• Manage outside contractors working on electrical issues or upgrades in the plant.
• Identify equipment improvement opportunities, write AFEs and execute problem resolutions.
• Assess performance of existing equipment and processes and implement improvements.
• Drive process control improvement projects in electrical, PLC and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in facility or test equipment installation/maintenance.
• Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley SLC
  500, Micro Logix, Control Logix).
• Hands‑on experience in HMI and SCADA development with Factory Talk, Panel View, and Cmore.
• Knowledge of DC drives, VFDs, and servos. Level winding experience a plus.
• Proficient with blueprints and schematics (electrical & hydraulic).
• Strong electrical background required; experience with aluminum extrusion preferred.
• AutoCAD: 1 year (Required).

• Experience with aluminum extrusion technology or strong electrical engineering background.
• Willing to excel in a team environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• A self‑starter requiring minimal supervision and guidance.
• Willingness to get hands dirty.

8‑hour shift with occasional OT as required. Monday to Friday.
