Role Description This part or full-time, on-site Registered Dental Hygienist role is based at James R. Wells III Family Dental in Murray, KY. The hygienist will perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including patient assessments and dental prophylaxis. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, taking and interpreting dental radiographs, educating patients on oral hygiene and disease prevention, and supporting the dentist with clinical findings and treatment planning.
The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to infection control and OSHA standards, and contributing to a positive, efficient team environment.
- Strong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment plans
- Demonstrated expertise in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive care
- Knowledge of Periodontal Disease, its progression, and appropriate periodontal therapies and patient education
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Kentucky (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental radiographs and documenting clinical findings accurately
- Commitment to strict infection control, sterilization protocols, and overall patient safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient education and comfort
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented dental practice and manage a steady patient schedul
