Job Description:

This position is responsible for coordinating community benefit and relations initiatives and activities under the direction of the Public and Community Relations Manager. This position coordinates and implements community-based initiatives to improve the health status of residents within the community, to develop cost effective solutions, and build a positive image for Select Health and its partners in the community. This position provides detailed coordination of activities in the community by providing support during actual initiative activities to enhance the community experience, provides direction and leadership for process and implementation with internal and external entities to include, but not limited to, not-for-profit agencies, government and business groups.

This position works independently on complex projects within the Select Health team. Promotes Select Health as a not for profit organization. This position is onsite:
Monday and Wednesday ( subject to change) Office

5381 S Green St Murray, Utah This position manages events in the community which will require flexible hours as needed and regional traveling. Preferred candidates with the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish preferred, with previous health insurance or Medicaid outreach background.

This position reports to the Public and Community Relations Manager and works in partnership to help implement and coordinate community benefit and relations initiatives for Select Health as assigned. Helps evaluate and coordinate supporting activities. This position engages with key stakeholders in the community to assist implementing partnerships and initiatives focused on selected health priorities and activities promoting health insurance enrollment and deliverables.

This position leads and coordinates moderate to highly complex projects and indicatives under limited supervision.

• 1. Assists in the development and day to day management of community benefit and relations projects for Select Health.
• 2. Coordinates community processes for involvement with partnerships and activities associated with achieving Select Health goals and objectives.
• 3. Coordinates and manages relationships with community groups who donate time, resources and capital to further community support as assigned.
• 4. Works with the Public and Community Relations Manager to assess the community needs and projects.
• 5. Works with leaders to execute strategic planning activities for department and/or individual projects.
• 6. Coordinates accurate reporting of information with stakeholders. Maximizes the reportable activities by understanding the reporting criteria; seeks opportunities that align with established health priorities of Intermountain Healthcare and Select Health initiatives, goals, and selected activities.
• 7. Ensures that company standards and guidelines are followed.
• 8. Helps to conduct Community Benefit and Relations activities on behalf Select Health. As such, conducts him or herself on behalf of Select Health and not for self-interest.
• 9. Champions the services and benefits provided by Select Health and its partners through strategies that respond to documented healthcare needs in communities.
• 10. Advocates on behalf of low-income, uninsured, and underserved populations and entity discussions to ensure this population is represented to administrative and other leadership teams.
• 11. Facilitates the resolution of difficult situations in a positive and professional manner.

• Bachelor's Degree in a public relations, marketing, communications, public health, or business administration. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
