Job Description Registered Nurse – Respiratory Care Call Center
Job Description Registered Nurse – Respiratory Care Call Center Pay: $26–$35/hour, based on license and experience
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST Position Type:
Full-Time On-Call:
Rotating coverage approximately every 4–7 weeks
Sign-On Bonus:
Up to $4,000 for eligible external candidates
About
The Role
Join an established healthcare team providing remote patient support and respiratory equipment guidance. This hybrid, office-based position focuses on patient outreach, CPAP/BiPAP compliance, equipment coordination, and clinical support.
Key Responsibilities- Contact patients regarding CPAP/BiPAP use, non-invasive ventilation, and therapy compliance.
- Follow up with non-compliant patients at 10, 30, and 60 days to encourage adherence to prescribed treatment.
- Coordinate PAP pressure changes and arrange equipment drop shipments based on prescriptions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, maintenance, safety, and therapy compliance.
- Troubleshoot respiratory equipment issues and provide clinical guidance to patients and field staff.
- Monitor patient progress, document compliance, and follow applicable insurance guidelines.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support after-hours needs.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact-state licensure preferred. Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) may also be considered.
- Strong patient communication, organization, multitasking, and basic computer skills.
- Experience in respiratory care, home medical equipment, or CPAP/BiPAP therapy preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidential patient records and provide clear clinical guidance.
