Administrative Assistant

Johnson & Semken, CPAs are seeking an energetic, motivated, full-time administrative assistant to work in our Murray office. We are a thriving public accounting firm that offers tax, accounting, and consultation services to small businesses and individuals.
You don’t need to be a tax expert—we can teach you the tax side. What matters most is your attitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to provide exceptional service.

At our firm, we believe great client service starts behind the scenes. You’ll be the friendly, reliable face of our office - helping clients feel welcome, keeping our team organized, and making sure the day-to-day operations stay on track, especially during the busy tax season.

• Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with client inquiries
• Schedule appointments and coordinate calendars
• Organize, scan, file, and maintain confidential client documents
• Assemble finished client tax returns
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections
• Support our tax professionals with administrative and organizational tasks
• Help keep the office running efficiently and professionally
• Type correspondence and financial reports
• Other administrative duties as needed

• Well-organized to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated to work independently, problem solve, and manage time efficiently
• Proficient with computers, printers, and office software including Microsoft Word and Excel
• A strong communicator, both written and verbal
• Reliable, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
• Previous administrative, accounting, tax, or customer-service experience is a plus

Depending on qualifications, the pay range will be $16-$20 an hour.
