The Murray City Police Department is taking applications for Crossing Guards to prepare crossing zones and assist children in crossing streets safely, on a seasonal basis, while children attend school. Interviews will be scheduled as positions become available.

Pay Rate: $19.00 hourly

Schedule: 10 hours/week. Hours vary depending on school assignment.

Note: In the interest of workplace and public safety, all offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a chemical screen for the purpose of detecting the presence of alcohol and/or controlled substances in the body. A background check is conducted if the candidate is over 18 years of age. Successful applicants must also pass a basic physical exam which includes a vision and hearing test.

• Must be able to assist children in crossing streets safely.
• Must be available on a seasonal basis during school years.
• Must pass chemical screening and background check as described.
• Must pass vision and hearing tests.
