Pay: Range starts at $17/hour (based on years of related experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30am-4:30pm

Job Summary & DeliverablesThe Direct Support Specialist provides evidence-based practices to develop clients’ individual skills in providing supported services across life, social, and job skill areas as indicated by the person-centered support plan to meet individualized goals. The Direct Support Specialist utilizes evidence-based practices, meeting fiscal responsibilities, and ensuring regulatory and organizational standards are met.
Responsibilities- Utilize information from the person-centered process to identify client strengths and weaknesses and develop collaborative goals with each client and their family for lifelong learning.
- Develop client’s individual skills in providing supported services across life, social, and job skill areas.
- Use evidence-based practices to teach pre-employment and employment skills in clinical settings.
- Assist clients with self-help/independence skills which may include toileting, feeding, and basic hygiene routines.
- Work cohesively with the treatment team to ensure the delivery of high-quality support and care.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- No experience required – see Preferred Qualifications.
Licenses/Certifications
- CPR certification.
- Valley de-escalation certification (as required).
- Driving positions require a minimum age of 21 and a current driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing job coaching skills to adult clients with disabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Salary: $17–$19.12 per hour.
