PositionDescription:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting their Studio Manager. These two positions work closely together to lead their store to success. The Assistant Manager role is viewed as a future Studio Manager and should be filled by someone who has tangible passion for GBGS and the desire to become a Studio Manager in the next 6-18 months.

- 35-40 hours of work time in store each week unless otherwise specified in your individual offer letter. More or less required on occasion.
- This is a non-exempt role with GBGS. You will continue working 4.5 to 5 functional shifts on a weekly basis. You will be learning and assisting with administrative tasks but at no point be fully responsible for managing the store operations, hiring, exiting, or team relations within the store.
- Being a GBGS brand ambassador and exemplifying care for every single guest.
- Supporting the Studio Manager in leading a team of 12-60 team members of all ages
- Taking personal responsibility for your learning and training from your Studio Manager and Operations team.
- Integrating and executing GBGS’s mission, vision, and values throughout the store.
- Enthusiastically implementing new company initiatives, strategies, policies, and training programs
- Working with the Studio Manager to effectively train team members and coach GBGS standards with continuous, gracious pressure
- Collecting and tracking epic guest stories in your store to use as a training tool
- Maintaining mastery of all front of house positions, meaning you’re a top-of-the-line Host, Talent Coordinator, and Team Leader
- Assisting in operational excellence through upkeep of: apparel and products, game inventory, building maintenance, cash control systems, and shift schedules.
- Helping with necessary reports
- Promoting and maintaining a positive atmosphere
- Providing quick, creative solutions to problems
- Encouraging, inspiring, and empowering team members to make decisions and grow
- Ensuring team communication that furthers our mission by creating your store’s weekly newsletter
- Attending an annual management performance review conducted by one or more of your direct leaders (management PRs are normally conducted at the end of each calendar year).
