About the RoleAs the Aboriginal Health Manager, you will take a lead role in progressing key Aboriginal Health system projects that align with the Closing the Gap Agreement and SA Health’s strategic priorities. You will oversee the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of initiatives designed to improve the cultural appropriateness, effectiveness, and accessibility of services delivered by SA Health within RMCLHN.
Working collaboratively with leaders across RMCLHN and the Department for Health and Wellbeing, as well as Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, community leaders and consumers, you will champion culturally informed approaches to care. Your work will support meaningful engagement, service improvements, and better health outcomes for Aboriginal people across the region.
You will represent RMCLHN in cross‑agency partnerships, provide expert advice, guide system reform efforts, and ensure that project outcomes are delivered to a high standard. Through strong leadership and relationship‑building, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening culturally safe practices and shaping future health service delivery.
What We’re Looking For- Demonstrated experience in program and project management roles and knowledge of recognised and accepted project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in aspects of project management such as governance, planning and controls, supports and assurance, risk management, issue resolution, benefits, budgets, reporting, performance management, methods, and tools.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships and communication processes with health care leaders, clients and stakeholders, contractor, and project teams.
- Experience in a range of planning and project work involving both teamwork and individual effort and creative and innovative approaches in a health‑related area.
- Experience in working with Aboriginal people and Aboriginal communities to resolve complex issues.
- Experience in managing a multi‑disciplinary team.
