Clinical Engineering (CE) Tech I is an entry‑level position responsible for the maintenance and service of assigned medical equipment. The role involves the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a limited scope of clinical equipment under the guidance or direct supervision of an experienced peer or supervisor. Techs serve in a variety of job‑specific roles and clinical environments including hospitals, clinics, surgical centers, home healthcare, dialysis centers, central processing departments, clinical laboratories, information technology, and repair depot service centers.

• Basic understanding of medical equipment, human anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on low/medium risk medical equipment.
• Skilled in using tools and test equipment required for duties and responsibilities.
• Adherence to confidentiality requirements and safeguarding of PHI.
• Competent in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for documentation.
• Basic understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to medical equipment management.

• Experience working with medical equipment or maintaining/repairing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Follow protocols and processes for equipment maintenance.

• Two years of experience in clinical engineering or an equivalent field.
• Associate of Applied Science Degree or completion of a Biomedical Technician Certificate Course.

Pay Scale: $25.02 – $39.41 USD hourly

Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
