$17.00/hr – $22.00/hr

Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes the following roles, which will vary by facility need: patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning. Intermountain employs professional chefs, culinary leaders, cooks, and nutrition care associates. • Full Time, 40 hours per week
• Shift Details: 8‑hour shifts Sunday‑Saturday (varying morning, afternoon, evening starts)

• Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (following standard recipe, assembling ingredients) – e.g., prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit.
• Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g., dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels).
• Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (oven, fryer, hoods).
• Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolves basic customer service issues.

• Food Handler Permit or Serv Safe certification required by first day of work
• One or more years of experience in customer service, food service, or patient care preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets preferred
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred

• Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs.
• Frequent interactions with customers that require communication and understanding spoken information quickly and accurately.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer, phone, and cable set‑up and use.
• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment; work on hands and knees and bend to set‑up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
• Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work.
• Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work at a grill or in a refrigerator and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
