The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for conducting neurovascular and other sonographic exams on patients under the direct orders of a physician. The Technician is accountable at all times for patient safety.

- Responsible for knowing Ultrasound Technician scope of practice and working within it, accountable at all times to an attending physician
- Prepares exam rooms and patients for ultrasound examinations; maintains ultrasound equipment and machinery; notifies supervisor immediately of equipment defects
- Prepares for the exam by performing an adequate time-out period, verifying that the procedure to be performed will be performed on the correct patient for the correct study
Education and Experience
- Vascular Ultrasound technician education or other related education either in progress or completed
- TCD experience preferred
- RVT preferred
- Healthcare experience required
- Furnish proof of COVID-19 vaccination

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers and payors
- The ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently and effectively
- Strong commitment to actively supporting an ethical working environment
- Strong knowledge of computer-based systems such as Excel, Word, and the Internet with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
