Job Summary:A qualified Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse administers one-on-one skilled nursing care to patients in their residence, following physician orders and care plans under RN supervision, in accordance with agency policies.
Qualifications:- Graduate of a state-approved practical (vocational) nursing program and licensed in California.
- 1+ year nursing experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome!
- Current CPR certification.
- Alignment with the agency's philosophy and goals.
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide nursing services, treatments, and preventive procedures as assigned.
- Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
- Monitor and report signs, symptoms, and reactions to treatments to physicians and RNs.
- Educate and counsel patients and families about care needs and related issues at home.
- Maintain clinical and progress notes.
