General Yard Laborer

Position Summary

The Yard Laborer plays an essential role in maintaining and organizing the company yard, vehicles, equipment, and surrounding grounds. This position supports day-to-day yard operations, cleanliness, and safe working conditions through physical, hands‑on work in both indoor and outdoor environments. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the yard and surrounding areas.
• Move, stage, and organize company equipment and vehicles.
• Perform routine cleaning, washing, and detailing of company vehicles, including cars, trucks, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
• Clean returning equipment by removing mud, tape, trash, and construction debris.
• Perform light touch‑up painting on equipment when needed.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and in accordance with protocols.
• Assist with basic building and yard maintenance tasks as needed.
• Organize and categorize materials, equipment, and inventory in the yard or warehouse.
• Dispose of waste and hazardous materials following proper procedures.
• Wear required PPE, follow all safety guidelines, and report hazards or incidents immediately.
• Work cooperatively with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.

• Valid California Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures, equipment handling, and yard operations.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

This role involves regular physical activity. You must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs and perform work that requires standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and climbing for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors. The position also requires frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms to handle, grip, grasp, and operate tools, equipment, and mechanical components, while safely working around mechanical equipment, moving parts, and varying temperatures in required PPE.

• Hourly Range: $18.00 – $24.00 (DOE)
