This externship offers veterinary students practical experience in an independent equine practice, providing insights into the daily operations of an equine hospital.
Students will work alongside veterinarians and interns, gaining experience in lameness diagnosis and treatment, client communication, reproductive care, surgery, emergency medicine, imaging, ambulatory services, dentistry, and preventive medicine. They may also assist with outpatient and hospitalized cases during business hours and after-hours emergencies.
Externships are open to current veterinary students regardless of class year, with a preference for fourth-year students.
