As an Applebee’s® Assistant Manager you will be engaged in all aspects of day‑to‑day operations, ensuring guests and staff are passionate about their experience. You will lead the team, solve problems, handle stress, and maintain the restaurant’s standards.

• Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives.
• Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee’s core values.
• Respond immediately to all verbal guest complaints and enforce corrective action.
• Prioritize guest contact with required table visits set by Flynn Applebee’s standards.
• Maintain departmental inventory levels.
• Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards through line checks.
• Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands.
• Maintain safety and security programs.
• Promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to the GM/Area Director.
• Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates.
• Promote Flynn | Applebee’s training procedures for new managers.
• Help maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, training sessions, meetings, and policy implementation.
• Participate in ongoing employee development using One‑on‑One, performance documentation, and written evaluations.
• Assess employee efficiency, provide regular feedback, and work on development areas.
• Monitor acceptable performance and document situations requiring disciplinary action.
• Assure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Control costs in the assigned department.
• Comply with local, state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Drive bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested by the AD/GM.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork.
• Ensure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards.
• Provide a role model for managers and employees.
• Develop knowledge of all store‑related technology.
• Be willing to work in all positions and assist team members when needed (cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc.).
• Use the Management Development Program to grow leadership skills.

• At least 2‑3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus.

• Work various shifts, including weekends.
• Stand and move well‑paced for up to 10 hours.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read, write, and possess finger and hand dexterity for small tools.
