Construction Equipment Shop Technician

Overview

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. is seeking a Construction Equipment Shop Technician. Cleveland Brothers is the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland. An immediate opportunity is available for this role.

• Independently and successfully diagnose and repair equipment
• Overhaul engines and other major components
• Operate and maintain all types of earthmoving and construction equipment
• Provide Diesel Engine and other mechanical repair services for customers in the mining, construction and paving industries
• Communicate effectively with customers and solve problems to ensure customer satisfaction

• Knowledge of diesel engines
• Knowledge of hydraulics
• Knowledge of electronics
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to environmental conditions

• Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
• Listening and speaking
• Good motor coordination; coordination of eyes, hands and feet
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Overtime as needed
• Safety-sensitive position

Work involves industrial conditions and exposure to noise, heat, cold, injury and atmospheric hazards.
