Description
This position is based in Ireland.
A broad term often encompassing both light and commercial vehicle mechanics. Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs all types of motor vehicles. Performs scheduled maintenance, identifies and resolves mechanical/electrical issues, and ensures vehicles are roadworthy and safe.
Key duties:- Inspect, test, and service vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and software.
- Advise customers on necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure vehicles meet roadworthiness and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in automotive technology.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE).
- Proven experience as a motor vehicle technician.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Valid driver's license.
